got my how to get an idea book by lena in the mail. you can see more pictures in her shop. i love her handwriting style and funny drawings. i like how these drawings are simple, with just enough detail to make them so recognizable and funny—like that extra roll of tp on the floor is just perfect. i also like how both the man and his dog on the bus seem to be sleepy/quiet.

I dig this book and it reminds me of a time, back when I was working for a nightclub in Chicago and I was with about 10 other people and we were brainstoming to come up with a name for a new club that was opening. And we were all completely blank. I said that we were never going to come up with a name there at that moment. It would come to us when we were taking a shower or making macaroni and cheese or something.
