thanks mati for mentioning the 40% off sale at the fabric store on mission. what a deal! i stocked up on some essentials and picked up a fun fabric (for 87 cents) which i'd make into a shirt if i knew how. must try to sew clothes. not sure why i haven't tried yet.
(now i have that beastie boys song about booty stuck in my head. they are fun to listen to on a hot day. i think i'll go find that funny old tape now.)

Buying sewing/craft notions is like buying candy for me. Actually, it's probably more like buying drugs... I peer into the paper bad all the way home to oogle my new delights. The colors that thread comes in are just the best.
I think you should make a shirt! What about one of those cute Built By Wendy patterns? I've only made pants, myself, so I'm looking at you to give me hope...
glad to hear i am not the only one collecting fabric, buttons, etc. for the day i learn to sew... which will hopefully be soon. it's all the crafty blogs i read, they are just so inspiring.
